The drought in Central and North Texas is proof of global warming. Paris Hilton getting out of jail early is proof of global warming. The fire at the Glasgow airport is proof of global warming...

Here in Texas, the fireworks may be cancelled due to frequent rains. Hard to light a wet ‘cracker.

(Global warming? Hell, in Texas, we just call that "summer".)
To: chessplayer
Just about every 4th of July in my memory was dry. Some drier than pothers ,but all of them were dry. Thats the way summer is here in St Mary’s County and so many other places, these fanatic Global warmers want to blame everything on Global Warming. Whats so bad about having a warm winter?? Less fuel oil burned is less carbon emissions isnt it? We get a White Christmas here in Maryland about every twenty years, big deal. Sure its dry, the corn is really bad, needs water in the worst way,but it certainly isnt any worse that I have ever seen before.

This summer hasn’t been as hot here in Texas, and it’s raining cats and dogs right now. So, since we had no rain and hotter weather the past few summers, am I to assume that we are having some Global Cooling??

The Cubs lost today because of global warming.
Not because Rich Hill can’t get my dead grandma out now. But because of global warming.

In the last thirty to fifty years the average temperature has risen about two thirds of a degree centipede.
So, global warming has everyting: a superb theory, measurable greenhouse gas emissions from all sources, including man made, measurable plant growth and accurate temerature measures over an ever increasing number of events. It has everything, that is, except rising temperatures, at least the kind that people can feel or flora and fauna can care about.
So, the same three questions remain unanswered: Are average temperatures on the rise, is this phemenon rendered more severe by men, and if it exists, is it a bad thing? Sounds like a varied need for study before we destroy nations to stop?

Well, here in So Mississippi we must have had global warming since the 1900’s, gets hot all the time, summer and winter, when I was a boy, use to hunt dove without shirt on.
We have a saying here, professional flim flam, never have I seen such blatant lies be accepted as they are today, course Gore was a political for a long time, guess he is a profession liar.
Noticed that China, India, etc., not being confronted on the ‘warming’? It is just us dirty Americans.

That's strange. Global warming is on the verge of cancelling the Overland Park, KS fireworks as it stands right now because of SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.

Not to mention the 5"+ of rain we had the last 5-6 days of June. NO SUNSHINE AT ALL.
