Ding-Ding-Ding! We have a winner!

Hillin, Jr. drove the #8 for a total of nine years, eight of them in a row.

Earnhardt, Jr. is in his seventh season behind the wheel of the #8.

Other modern drivers still active that drove the #8 -- Sterling Marlin, Jeff Burton (two years), Morgan Shepherd.

Oops I didn’t see this post, but Jr’s been in the 8 from 2000. That’s 8 when he fiishes this year.

I must have missed the one year Hillin drove the 8, not consecutively and only 5 races that year [1982] at the age of 18.

Anyway it’s too early in the morning. :)
