"Golden eagles are gravely threatened by a £200m wind farm scheme proposed for the Hebridean island of Lewis, campaigners have warned."
"On Lewis - where there are now three big schemes - when people talk about displacing birds from one area to another, they are simply moving them on to another wind farm."

I thought one purpose of alternative energy sources was to protect wildlife,,,not kill it.

Per another thread this morning, perhaps if there were more dedicated members of the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement, eagles wouldn’t have this problem.

Bull crap, I’m going through the storm of lies propagated by smelly hippies trying to stop windmills in WNY. Cars, trains and airplanes pose more of a threat to wildlife than a wind turbine. Here’s a clue, hippies don’t want us to have electricity at all, they want us to live the smelly toilet-paperless life of a foul hippy. Get back to nature man, far out... To which I have to say “SHUT UP HIPPY”!!!!!

Cars, trains and airplanes do not pose more of a threat to eagles than windmills. When you are speaking eagles, stick to that. Wind farms are killing eagles all over the world and they are also killing bats. Both eagles and bats are slow to reproduce and that is where the problems arise.

Bull-crap, thats the long and short of it. I’ve had to hear those lies for the last three years so peddle your wares to hippies someplace, I’m not buying it. BTW I live in a very rural area and travel 65 miles one way to work, I see the carnage along the sides of the road both up and back. It’s easier to convince people your lie is true if its not quite so ridiculous.
