Well, see there's where I lean a little bit your way, based upon part of what you say here...

From what I understand is the Unions were not all that excited about open borders, and cheap illegal alien labor, undermining all the crap they have going...

All I know is that the immigration "crap deal" (that got slammed twice BTW) in the senate probably never had a chance, the proponents were really hoping to sneak it through, and the players, from whatever strange bedfellows and relationships that developed from, to me is indicative of why it failed...

Nobody from both political parties liked the relationsships this agenda spawned...

I'm not sure the "cutting" of some deal between these Union supported elected officials, and the more moderate folks in those ranks was that big a thing, thats not really what was driving this boat...

I'm glad this went down in flames again...

And if they have to wait till more favorable conditions exist in congress, so much the better to confirm what this is all really about...And that is something you and I and many others do not want...
