Sam, I haven’t read through the thread yet, but I have a question about the selection of a VP running mate. Reagan chose his early on so that he could quiet the naysayers in the GOP and build on his own message. Has Duncan Hunter considered the same strategy? It would really give him a boost in press/name recognition if he announced Condi Rice as his running mate.
Hunter’s San Diego district has a large Hispanic population. They seem to love him there. He has been Congressman for 22 years. I am proud of him for going and representing the Republicans when no one else would. The conservative Hispanics will not forget him. I bet he recieves their vote. I know he’s already getting mine. :)
You show a lot of confidence. Are you going to give odds similar to InTrade?
Excellent post about poll numbers. Bump.

Thanks!
I hope Hunter wins in the Iowa or New Hampshire primaries, but even if he comes in 2nd or 3rd, I feel he will move up to front tier (hopefully before then).
Anyway, I think I’ll send an editor’s letter to Iowa and NH, and hope it gets published.
In my opinion the top tier/second tier is flip-flopped. The only candidates I can currently support are Hunter and Tancredo.
Support here is growing and I’m sure he’ll have quite a following by the time he comes to this state! I’m also sending interviews to my family and friends (in almost every state), so watch for the grassfire to grow in other states as well.
Sam, I have another question.
Iowa seems to be a state where the front runners from both parties are trying to circumvent the process, and the approach seems to be that they want to spend all their money for the big ticket races like Tsunami Tuesday. Of course, this represents a great opportunity for Duncan Hunter to break out of the pack. Let’s say he does this, and also wins New Hampshire. What would be the plan moving forward from all that momentum, into the big Super-Tuesday type primaries where the media buys are the biggest component? Is there an infrastructure being built in these states? How could we help with that?
Hope you caught this post.....

Condi Rice?????
Yup. I’ve floated the idea before and gotten some real positive reaction here on FR. To be candid, I don’t know her politics all that well. But her name recognition is sky high, and the MSM would love to see a black woman a heart beat away from the presidency. All of Hunter’s name recognition problems go away post haste.
Condi has stated that she’s not interested in running for the pres slot, so if she grabbed the vice pres slot, she would have (hopefully) 8 years to figure out where she wants to go with this.
She seems pretty shaky these days, IMO. But you are right. Name recognition would come. LOL

WTG, and you must have a lot of friends!
Impressive.
With dial-up I don’t get You-tube too well, but I know that Duncan Hunter is against socialized medicine. Hunter and I seem to agree about every single issue.
Condi has some great qualities, but her “deal breaker” with me is when she said she was “slightly pro-”choice.”
Also, she supported the Law of the Sea Treaty the last time I checked.
On occasion I have been known to expose a few 'rats in the family, but I am confident that I can turn them in the right direction as well, since they are the same Reagan Democrats I live amongst here in the Sooner state.
Every interview or article I read reveals another 100% agreement with Hunter. That is why I say he is the best on ALL the issues!
Whom would you consider the best running mate? Of course, we Hunter supporters think Thompson would be, but he wants the main job so it is totally unlikely that he’d be willing to sign up for an early VP slot to help out on the name recognition end of things.
How about Ann Coulter? Alan Keyes? I already know we can’t have Tom McClintock because we’re not allowed to have two from the same state. How about Dr. James Dobson?

Well, keep working on them, & thanks for that cute picture which put a smile on my face. :)
I’ll have to think long and hard about VP, but Mike Pence and JC Watts come to mind, and here’s a quote from Watts:
JC Watts: “I disagree with Rudy Giuliani on the life issue and I think the rationale that he gives I disagree with even more because that’s the same as saying, ‘Well, I’m personally opposed to slavery, but if somebody else wants to own slaves, that’s fine.’”
