That's like asking why the majority of the worlds Christians don't serve in the US military. Could it be because they're not Americans?

By the 3rd generation immigrants by and large melt into our society. It takes 3 generations to remove all of the old predgudices and tribal B.S that accompanies many peoples. There are exceptions to this and African and Arab immigrants by and large seem to never fully become citizens in the melting sort of way. They keep the old tribal B.S alive and always have more then their fair share of agitators many generations later.
I think Bush’s approach is simply the Christian “turn the other cheek” commandment that he wants to live by. BUT he is the leader of the free world and history has shown that you cannot “turn the other cheek” to Islam as it will cost many their lives and at this stage of the world it will be in the millions.
