I agree. The official statement this morning that these are not British-born jihadis is wishful thinking. It looks like yet another case of Sudden Jihad Syndrome.
This operation obviously WAS planned, since it seems to have involved at least four cars all set to explode within a limited period of time. And the car parked at the Glasgow hospital was probably set to welcome victims from the airport. But there were some errors in the planning.
Still, with a little luck they could have killed many hundreds of people in both London and Glasgow. The luck was on our side, thank God.
It would be interesting to find out if the hospital parking lot was an area designated for triage during major disasters. i.e. would the car have blown up in the middle of ambulances and doctors?
