O’Sullivan’s Law states that any organization not specifically conservative in orientation will become liberal over time.

A variation of O’Sullivan’s Law is that any individual politician who is not specifically conservative in orientation will become liberal over time.

Whatever “Compassionate Conservatism” is, it is not “specifically conservative” and neither is George W. Bush.
