No chance of withdrawal from either Afghanistan or Iraq mate. Britain is fully committed to both. We aren’t Spain. We Brits will carry on with our lives as usual and not let these b**tards get us down. Kudos to the brave police who manually defused yesterday’s device and the police and members of the public who knocked down the attempted attackers today.

Can I ask you this....if a national referendum had been held on Blair's last day in office (before the incidents of the last few days) regarding British troops staying in Iraq and Afghanistan what would have been the result? Also,if a referendum were held on that same question tomorrow what would be the outcome?

And....we're hearing in the US that Brown has appointed a leftist jihad supporter as Foreign Minister. Is this true, and if so,doesn't that signal that Brown could easily "go wobbly" (to quote Lady Thatcher) in the face of the events of the last few days?
