Whose car would those bow-tied bumkissers at the Boston Globe rather ride on top of -
Mitt Romney’s or Ted Kennedy’s?

Just ask Mary Jo.

Our First Dog - Seamus (by Ann Romney on the Five Brothers Blog)

Mitt and I love our dogs. Seamus was our first--an Irish setter. When I wasn't at home, Mitt let him sleep on the bed. And usually when he was riding in the car, his head was out the window. Seamus lived to a ripe old age, basking in the affection of a large family.

Surprise, surprise, the media didn't get the dog story right. Our dog Seamus rode in an ENCLOSED kennel, not in the open air. And he loved it. Every time he saw it, he jumped up on the tailgate, walked in, and lay down. It was just like the kennel he curled up in at home.

We are a dog family. Casey was our Bichon, McKenzie our Golden, and Marley our Weimaraner. Marley had 8 puppies, which Mitt delivered all night for her one summer.

When she died last year, she was in Mitt and our arms, and we all cried. Yes, we love our dogs.

Now horses, that's my love too. Mitt rides them--I love them. But that's another blog.

You mean like what he did for Massachusetts ? Killing what was left of the state GOP ? Leaving it in Marxist hands ? A rodent couldn’t destroy the GOP as badly as he did.

Wait a minute.

A guy puts his dog in a dog carrier - so far so good - travels 12 hours - so far so good - on the ROOF of vehicle??!!!!

Is this a rational move??? This moves him to the JulieAnnie/McCain Column in my book.

If I HAD to, I’d still vote for him over any Democrat. But still. Give me a break. This is really, really dumb act. (Was he watching "Summer Vacation"?)

I’m disappointed in Romney’s judgment. But its irrelevant since Fred Thompson or Duncan Hunter will be our candidate anyway.

my brother went around the US for months on a motorcylce (Kawasaki 900-Z1) with a custom-made open trailer (way before it was commonplace) in which rode his dog Beano and, back then people really dug it. Beano dug it, too.

Mindy, the skydiving dog. Note the doggie goggles.

Calling Romney a “rodent” is . . . words fail.

Romney has a good conservative record in Massachusetts. You need to do some research. He has a wonderful family, too.

I do not believe Romney killed the GOP in Massachusetts. I think you’re babbling nonsense.

"Calling Romney a “rodent” is . . . words fail."

I didn't call him a rodent. In fact, he's worse than a rodent. He did all their dirty work for them, and they reaped all the benefits.

"Romney has a good conservative record in Massachusetts."

Saundra, I was up in Ratsachusetts when he first campaigned for office. No one in their right mind called him a Conservative, except ignorants and liars. His political hero was the ultra-RINO party-killer Slick Willie Weld. He has no such "Conservative record" unless you consider doing the rodents dirty work "Conservative" and handing his office off to a Marxist and abandoning his office "Conservative." You need to get educated. Some of us know him all too well. Let me tell you, if you love Ah-nold in California, Precious Willard will make him look like Jesse Helms by the time he's finished.

"He has a wonderful family, too."

Irrelevent. I'm interested in his appalling record.

"I do not believe Romney killed the GOP in Massachusetts. I think you’re babbling nonsense."

Truth always hurts. Take a look at the Precious Willard record of SHAME:

No statewide GOP officeholders.

No federal officeholders.

Only ONE GOP Mayor of any town above 30,000 people.

Only 11% GOP legislature (down from 15% in 2003, a nearly 1/3rd decline on his watch).

We don’t reward colossal failures like this with the Presidency, we reward them with permanent political retirement.

Like his buddy Bill Weld, Mittens longs to join the elite club the Council on Foreign Relations so he can pal around with George Soros et al.

The Globe’s disclosure this week that Mitt Romney put his Irish setter into a dog carrier on the roof of his station wagon for a 12-hour trip to Ontario in 1983 has become a surprising flashpoint in the presidential campaign.

Would it be possible for someone to PLEASE GIVE ME A BREAK!

Ah, but he’s not conservative enough for the 100%’ers. Anything less than 100% agreement , for them is the same as being a RINO, or what’s more likely a full blown lefty.

Ha! Let pita chew on that one.

Interesting about your Java thing. I'd try it but I'm not about to go screwing around with a new browser, etc.

Take a cue from Microsoft: make so easy that it's easier to use it than not to use it.

Is there a difference between Java and Javascript? I have despised java for years. I wonder if I'll ever get around to learning, too. I despised windows for years...and now, my goodness, my laptop is my briefcase and windows is very much in my tool box.

Is there a difference between Java and Javascript?

JavaScript and Java both inherited most of their syntax from C/C++, but they are very different languages. Java is statically typed. JavaScript is dynamically typed. Both are object oriented, but their object models are quite different. More here.

JavaScript was developed at Netscape as a language to be used to script web page behavior in the browser. It was originally to be called LiveScript, but the marketdroids changed its name at the last minute, hoping to capture some of the hype Sun was generating at the time (1995) with its launch of Java. Then Flash came along and stole the applet niche from Java. Most web page eye candy today is Flash and / or JavaScript. Applets are quite rare.

Java is much clunkier to program in than JavaScript. But, whereas JavaScript is interpreted, Java code is compiled to byte code and at runtime to optimized machine code, allowing much higher performance to be achieved. These days Java is mostly used to run multi-threaded web applications on servers.

If you want to mess around with JavaScript, I recommend David Flanagan's book. It's much better than the others out there.

I don’t think it’s too much to ask of a Republican leader to be loyal to his party and campaign for them. Giuliani is a liberal Republican, but didn’t leave his party to twist in the wind as Precious Willard did. As for being a Conservative, pretending to be one in order to get elected President doesn’t count. He was only a good Governor for the rodents, and made it even safer for them to get elected in Ratsachusetts.

Well, gotta say I think this was poor judgement. But how in the world did this find it’s way to youtube? A family vacation from 1983?
