The duo -- lifelong friends and roommates -- are accused of storming into a Plantation Subway shop, armed and announcing a robbery. They didn't plan to encounter retired Marine John Lovell, 71, who had just finished a veggie sandwich and had a gun tucked in his waistband.
I don't think Mr. Arrindell is being accused of anything anymore.
What is interesting to be, as the suspects are pushing the victim towards the restroom, with his back to the suspects, the victim reaches into the back of his pants, his waistband, and shoots both.
It seems the suspect armed with the gun either didn't see him do this, or the suspect was awful damn slow to react.
I sure would like to see a more detailed version of events from the victim, including weapon used.
''They apparently demanded he pick it up,'' White said. ``He said he couldn't. That's when they started to push him toward the bathroom.''
Pure speculation here, but after trying to visualize this I'd bet after the victim said he couldn't pick up the money off the floor, he might have said something about having a bad back, as the suspects started pushing him towards the restroom he was probably facing them, and fained or pretended his back was hurting, reaching with his arm as if to hold his sore back, and whammo!
I've love to speak with the victim.

I bet he didnt accidentally drop the money. He was going to distract them so he could get his gun.

“. . . thanks to carry laws from the NRA.”
Ahh, actually, most of those states that have “shall issue” were swayed by local groups. The NRA may have a few feathers in its cap but concealed carry isn’t one of them. Now, they do jump up and take credit for it when it passes but that’s not quite the same thing.
It’s kinda like this Parker case: The NRA fought it tooth and nail and now they talk like they were the ones to bring the case to court.
Politician!
The first concealed carry law was in Florida and started with Marion Hammer of the NRA. Since then they have been part of every concealed carry law. No state group was able to reach beyond it’s state borders to help any other state like the NRA.
The NRA is not taking credit for the recent Supreme Court decision. They are mearly reporting it’s progress.
And don't forget this story: Graying duo keep passenger in check
“The NRA is not taking credit for the recent Supreme Court decision. They are mearly reporting its progress.”
Sure.
BANG!!!!
Mega applause! The robbed the wrong “old guy!”
