Head shots are certainly more effective if the shooter can make them. Other wounds,even though fatal,leave the assailant able to continue until the blood no longer reaches the brain.At least one state trooper died after emptying his pistol into the torso of a drug-crazed felon.Said criminal brain,arm,legs, and hand continued to function long enough to walk several yards,raise and fire his weapon.Incident reported in an article in the late 1980s and gave a road officer much to think about.

Another item of note is the store owner isn't questioning,condemning, or second-guessing the customer's actions. Too many times we hear of pizza deliverymen, or convenience store workers losing their jobs for the act of preserving their lives from robbers and probable murderers. Some employee handbooks I have read warn that anyone found with any weapon will be fired and prosecuted to the fullest extent possible under law.
So kudos to the sandwich store owner as well.
