A Butte County jury has found a Gridley supermarket not liable to pay civil damages to an illegal alien who slipped and fell on a grape inside the store.
The plaintiff, who suffered a fractured kneecap in the incident, had sought over $400,000 through her lawyer for past and future medical expenses, and pain and suffering.
The jury was not specifically told the shopper was an illegal alien, only that she "couldn't legally work in this country."
Superior Court Judge Barbara Roberts read a stipulation to that effect to the jury after the woman's San Francisco attorney, Rafael Crespo Jr., had asked her on the witness stand whether the reason that she couldn't pay her medical bills was because she couldn't work.

Honestly, I might not have let it in either, if I was the judge. Very highly prejudicial, and not relevant to the issue of negligence (tangentially to damages, if she claimed permanent impairment or lost wages).
Of course, I would also have called a recess and had the bailiff arrest her on the immigration charge.
Illegal grape pickers of the world unite!!
LMAO!!
I was in a jury pool recently, of 100 people(!) in a case of other illegal aliens playing the "Other American Lottery". There were two interpreters involved, and two attorneys. I was afraid to ask who paid for all that...
The two darlings were suing for excessive force after they were thrown out of a nightclub and returned to start a fight.
Their memory was worse than The First Rapist, they contradicted each other almost 100 % and after three days of this the judge threw out the whole thing, after three days of process spread out over three weeks.
Your tax dollars at work...
Remember these aren’t the immigration judges, they’ll let in a dope smuggler in spite of Real ID.
they should have NO rights they are criminal aliens.
illegals in california love
lawsuits for damages.
si.
She should have gone to the source and sued the illegal aliens who pick the grapes.
unfortunately our congress, senators and pres, along with the courts have made their rights MORE equal to ours.......
