Brown has just named a leftist jihad sympathizer as Foreign Minister.Given this clear signal I’m sure the jihadists think that it wouldn’t take much to get Brown to withdraw. Sure. Al Qaeda always goes after what they perceive to be the weak points. No need to take the high risk of a direct attack on the US (especially since the repercussions of the last one were so severe for them) when they can more easily peel away "weak sisters" like Spain and now Britain.

England has a number of high profile events. Isn’t Wimbledon followed by some Tour de France trials and Al Gore’s Live Earth concert and another big concert?
