a growing military power in the region? why? because they can buy subs? call me when they can build the subs themselves! growing military power in the region. compared to who? chile? costa rica? uh-oh, look out!
Do the majority of Venezuelans support Chavez or not?
Lol! Target practice.
Damn......I can buy a Quiznos sub for less than 5 bux.........
Yeah, Just ignore the build up. Thats the prudent approach
Missile will be next
Bush: "YEAH, Yeah, yeah, WHATever... just fill'er up MonkeyBoy!"
Thats what the subs are for.
To break the embargo we will put in place when he trys to sneak in ballistic missles
They must have gotten the run down subs. $500 million doesn’t buy much.
They will make nice reefs off the Venezuelan coast.
Yeah the reported preice is lower than I have seen in the past.
Even 500 million a piece sounds low
Yea, buy a bunch of subs that the US has been able to track for decades. The Russians have been trying to get rid of this junk for decades.
and your position is??? should we send the marines in? when did i say to ignore anything? i am just not as alarmed as the author at venezuela buying some boats. who cares? lots of less than friendly countries have subs. it’s just not that big of a deal.
That’s 500 million pounds, over $1B at the moment.
If I were in a nitpicking mood, I’d point out that the deal is apparently for 500 million GBP (not dollars), which is about US $1 billion. But your point is still a good one - maybe they’re buying the “economy models”...
I care.
This assclowns ultimate goal is to have missles that will cover our country with in range.
An arms race with Venezuela! LOL. What a dolt. I hope we can keep encouraging him to spend money. I’d love to see the training center. It’s probably going to be a stripped down city bus with aquariums at each window.
