If that’s true, it took quite a volume of calls to do it.

Knowing something about how phone switches work and what their software guts looks like... I’m impressed.

Could be true, then again I wouldn't put it past the traitors to unplug the system, and then put out a story that it crashed.

Who knows anymore. They are all liars and traitors.

Here is a list of the key staff contacts of the "Amnesty 8" Senators (plus Domenici and Cochran) that are most likely to be persuaded to vote no on Thursday and derail amnesty. Many offices are putting calls straight to voicemail and they can just trash faxes (and letters take weeks to get through due to security). Hit Hill staff where they are so codependent - their Blackberries! Send email directly to staff - not just the generic Senate office mailbox. Contact their Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and Press Secretary. Make your voice heard!!

For the Democrats, I would strongly suggest taking a pro-union/anti-illegal alien stance (i.e. "they are taking our jobs") rather than using the conservative national security angle.

Knowing the bunch of criminals in the senate, I suspect that they shut the system down.
This bunch needs to be replaced. The whole bunch of them. They are the biggest bunch of elite effete snobs there is. They are pampered, privileged, and highly paid.

This explains why I can’t get thru to Senator Levin today.

As I said in another post, Sen. Stabenow is not in favor of the bill. Since she is a follower, usually voting according to the wishes of her party’s leadership, this means that the Dems have bailed on the plan.

If the Dems have indeed bailed, this leaves McCain, Voinavich, et al holding the bag.

“FOX News - Major Garrett - Senate phone system has crashed due to
influx of calls”

I suspect the vast majority of those callers don’t “press 2 for Spanish”!

The overwhelming desire of the American people (and not just us “Right-wingers”) is that this bill die. WE do not trust government.

And Kyl from Arizona is such a turd. Saying that this bill will RESTORE the American people’s faith and confidence in government!

And immediately following, Sessions is saying playing off the overwhelming opposition from constituents as uninformed, and that you usually only hear from nay-sayers anyway.

ARRRRGGGHGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Why do we even bother to vote anymore? If whoever is elected does not represent their constituents?

Sessions obviously has illusions of big brother government being best.

I seriously doubt that the Senate phone system has "crashed". That's just a cover story. More likely, given their past and current actions, that our so-called "representatives" in the Senate simply switched things off, making it easier to ignore the unwashed masses.

I think there has to be a reason for them to be so desperate to pass this bill even against the will of an overwhelming majority of the people. I think there is something or someone they are more scared of than us.
