Elected Republicans are now openly complaining that they are receiving "threats" because of their support for the illegal alien amnesty bill. I guess they now know what it's like to walk around a Los Angeles park after dark.
Immigration Bill Prompts Some Menacing ResponsesWASHINGTON, June 27 The threat came in the weekend mail.
The recipient was Senator Mel Martinez, Republican of Florida, who has been a leading advocate of the proposed legislation for changing the immigration system. His offices in Washington and across Florida have received thousands of angry messages in recent weeks, but nothing as alarming as that letter he received at his home.

I’m not the least bit worried if it
s fake or not. In fact I find it amusing. Scare the bajeebers (sp) out of him to his senses.
I’ve emailed both Boxer and Feinstein to remind them that Californians do NOT support the amnesty bill, in whatever language they tried to couch it, and that they would both find themselves facing tough reelection campaigns next time around. This is a hot button issue in California, home of Props 187 and 209. I also told Feinstein she could bandy about the words “hate” and racist” as much as she wants, but the words are going to come back to haunt her. I know LIBERALS that find this piece of legislation as distasteful as I do.
I don’t have any sympathy for Mel Martinez, another one of these sick RINOs who has helped run the party into the ground.
Count me in. I’ll bring the feathers.
I REFUSE TO OBEY!
I justthink it is so funny when all these racist loons call or write complainingabout the immigration bill. They want us to vote against the bill, but do this, this, and this. Yet they have no clue at all. They dont realize that most ofthe points they bring up are already being addressed in this bill. You tellthem that and they dont believe you. Why? Because they heard something elsefrom some f**kstick like Lou Dobbs .you know because he knows more about whatis actually in the legislation than say A F**KING SENATORS OFFICE! No, youreright! Some nitwit retard who doesnt know how a bill becomes a law knows moreabout this bill than we do. F**king morons --yeah, it usually becomes apparent about 30 seconds in to the majority of immigration calls that the person on the other end of the line isn't against any certain measure in the bill...he/she's just a f***ing racist.
And you though they really cared when you call to express your opinion.
ABSOLUTELY!
We need to fix that too.
When I think back on our founders ... they had more you know whats than we have today. Today we are spineless and we can see what that has created.
Upon reflection I believe that you have achevied a "bulls-eye."
Waaaah, those mean voters are threatening to vote me out of office!!!!
Put a sock in it, you spoiled baby. You want to stay in office, you pay attention to the will of those who put you there.
That’s a real shame.
I couldn’t have put it better. Jefferson is always a great place to get some common sense. It is seriously lacking in a lot of todays leaders.!
I lived in Canoga Park during the whole 187 thing. Talk about the classic backstab.
I'd like to line up all the culprits involved in support of the The Shamnesty Shaft and tazer them them all repeatedly while the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution is repeated to them over and over.
Then, after 6 or so hours see if I (we) could) get them to sign in blood their individual promise to secure the borders first with routine and daily deportation of all illegals caught. Then ,let them work on shifting budget priorities to increase the staff to accept legal, uninfected, self supporting (or willing to support themselves for 5 years), willing to learn English immigrants.
For the Democrats, I would strongly suggest taking a pro-union/anti-illegal alien stance (i.e. "they are taking our jobs") rather than using the conservative national security angle.

“A typical liberal tactic to squelch unwanted constituent correspondence is to say they’re receiving “racist” emails. Republicans are now claiming to be receiving some. Let’s see ‘em. Prove it. After all this backstabbing to us, their word ain’t s**t.”
Darn straight.
Oh, for crying out loud! All these years I've spent here on FR and I blew the punch line!
Or are the permanent ruling class of senators above reproach, even as they sell out their country?
U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.
Racist=anti illegal immigration.
I wouldn’t worry about that Bob! BTW did you see the capitol hill blog that is used by Senate Aides? Someone has it I am sure or it can be found here. Foul language and name college puts it mildly, and it is directed at the American people.
What? No stacks of (empty) boxes that contain "millions" of letters?
Is it still the equal there to smoking a pack a day---as you breathe the air?
