Here we are again my friends, hopefully for the last debate thread on this particular monstrous legislation. Proceedings are supposed to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the cloture vote being taken at 10:30 a.m.
On a personal note, you've all been wonderful in your passion, vigilance, and commitment to the principles on which our country was founded. If I have to be in a foxhole, I want to be in it with you guys.

Grinning! Really think it’s time to create action lists for physical protests on short notice around here. With this ramrod type of approach to legislation in the Senate need to be able to act very quickly.
Sadly, I have a mental image of Bush digging up a soggy garlic-wrapped box of salty ashes and trying to carry it, wooden stake, silver cross and all, over the finish line.

That’s the point! And, now he has the justification to vote “No” on cloture and if he does he will have been true to his word.

I just called Thad Cochran’s office a minute ago. His office confirmed that he’ll vote against cloture. I told the nice lady who answered the phone that Sen. Cochran’s loyalty should be first to the American people and he should oppose Kennedy, Bush, and the illegal alien lobby.
Keep calling, folks.
