Start by repealing the 17th Amendment to the Constitution, and revoking all campaign finance laws.

That gets Senators accountable to state legislators instead of big money interests, and it puts individual citizens on the same footing as the money folks.

Personally, I am willing to use my own moneys to join a sit-in on the Capitol steps. So I get arrested for tresspassing? So what? - Sheehan, Sheen, Sean, et al have done it many times and gotten much publicity and gotten away with it with a fine. I'm not suggesting anyone else do it, but I'm willing.

Let's set a date and organize. With 5 million people moving on the capital it will be difficult for their limos to get anywhere. We can call it out with the trash day. Enough is enough.

Now those sly devils in the house voted themselves a $4000.00 + pay raise yesterday. They must think they are worth it

It's not a question of how much they think they are worth. It's about how much they think they can take and obviously they were right.

"Things being what they are I think ‘08 is going to the Dems as many of us are fed up enough to throw the rascals out. If the Dems get 4 or even 8 years it will be a time of rebuilding either the GOP or a new party. With the Dems screwing up BIG TIME, as they are sure to do people will have seen whata mistake they made putting them in office. Of course, cleaning up after their failed social engineering in many hours will be difficult."

I'm just about to the point where I hope Hitlery takes the WH and Congress remains democrat. I'm tired of the slow boil that is destroying this country. Maybe if the heat is turned up quickly enough, the frogs (sheeple) may begin to notice.

If things remain on this socialist/globalist tract, my belief is that within 10 years, a number of States will be looking at seceding from the Union.

"I was referring to some of the history about convincing ("non")political speech and activism (with emphasis on the nonviolent part) that helped Czechoslovakia to become a free republic. Our Government was helping with that and most other such efforts before Reagan was in office. ...public knowledge."

My bad...it was late at night when I read it.

"...we need to stage a REAL Million Disgruntled Taxpayer and Voter march on the mall in Washington."

Not that I encourage anyone to do anything illegal, but if enough citizens refused to pay taxes which fund every socialist crap program, what could they do? Arrest millions?

Although the Republicans incorrectly got the heat for it, one of my favorite moments in recent political history is when the Fedgov "shut down" back in the 90's. The less time they are in session, the less damage they can do.

That would be a start...much much more would still remain to be done.

"When people put their time and money into improving their local communities and stop funding the Republicrat Criminal Empire,..."

Such as a tax revolt. As I stated above, what could the Fedgov do if millions of Americans decided to stop funding DC's waste? Send in the troops? Don't think so.

"Best place to start is the trucking industry. Truckers in general seem to be conservative and pro America. They are also about to get a major screwing over by the Mexican truckers. Let the economy slow down to crawl and let tax revenues drop. Let the supermarket shelves start to go bare."

THAT would have a big impact. The problem is most truckers need to keep rolling to put food on the table. But that would be a huge start if it could be organized. I read recently where truckers were going to shut down the streets around DC over the Mexican trucking issue, but were stopped somehow. Forgot how.

The left never seems to have a problem with misdemeanor lawbreaking such as the likes of Jesse Jackson or illegal aliens marching in our streets and obstructing traffic. I have said for years that the right is too dam passive about our issues. It’s time that we get out there and demonstate a few of the same tactics that the left uses. It would not bother me a bit to see some of the offices of some of these traitors redecorated or painted a different color. I think that it is also time that Americans march in our own streets to show illegal aliens (foreign citizens) that we we NOT tolerate them disrecpecting our borders, language, or culture.

The Senate voted 46-53 against cloture on the immigration bill.

Well, I'll be damned. It looks like we actually postponed the final destruction of our Republic. However, this won't be the end of our slow boil. In fact, this may be a good time to consider some of the ideas presented on this thread. Keep the momentum going...

Note the end of the line above before presuming to know what I think.

Fear of voter rebellion at the ballot box coupled with a drying up of campaign funds to the cash box is a strong motivator. When the grassroots organizations unite and mobilize against them, politicians have no choice but take notice.

This is a really small thing, but maybe repackaging would help to avoid the labels they like to throw at us and use to discredit anything we say or think. (Name-calling of racist is the new version of calling everybody a communist). Liberals started referring to themselves “progressives”. I propose conservatives might want to relabel themselves as “independents”. Leftists manipulate the language all the time and, in that way, often control the terms of debate.

Anyway we repackage it the attacks are still gonna come. It's a game that's about 50 years old in our country. While our troops were fighting Japan and the Nazi's of Germany the Marxist were setting up shop in the United States and invading our universities and education system. Here is where it came from and how they do it. The Origins of Political Correctness The only way to win against such is to expose them for what they actually are.

When a person can not speak freely on a matter or a person {in a non libelous way meaning telling the truth as shown by evidence or facts} without being labeled a racist, homopbobe, etc that we are becoming a nation at risk of living under Marxism. One of the first things Marxism does is make one sect a victim and plays them against the other as being the cause of their plight when facts do not back it up. That victim sect then becomes protected. For example Hitler used a form of it.

I call myself an Independent because that is how I vote. I stopped straight party ticket voting after the 1996 election. They want my vote? They better earn it. That goes for GOP and any Independents running. I look at where they stand on issues in relation to the Constitution. I would even vote for a Jeff Sessions type of DEM. Yes, I know he's GOP now.
