Levin had him on today. Laura loves him. But Sean still seems uneasy and Rush has not said boo.

Unfortunately they don’t want to build the fence regardless what Congress or the American people want.

W is not and was never a conservative.

And incidentally, the House and Senate passed — at my urging and the urging of a number of other members — we passed an empowerment to the Department of Homeland Security to waive every existing statute and regulation that would — that the border fence construction would come into contact with so that we can get the — we don’t have to wait for years of environmental lawsuits.

We can simply waive those statutes and legislation with respect to the environment and we can build the border fence. That’s how important this was to the Senate and the House. They were willing to push aside all regulations and get this thing built.

Another related quote:

“Mr. Chertoff is charged with securing the border. And the one thing he’s not doing — he’s appearing on lots of talk shows. He is not securing the border.” - Duncan Hunter

He's a globalist and a liar, through and through.

I agree. He needs exposure badly. I was a Fred! guy not long ago, but this playing coy makes me think he’s either not serious, or he’s playing this indecision to the hilt. Not impressed with either case. In the meantime, Hunter looks like the man. Now to see if he’s electable.

“Keep your fingers crossed. He needs lots more visibility.”

I just wrote a letter to the editor, and sent it to a bunch of newspapers, and contributed to his campaign.

Together, we grass roots folks can make a difference to help him gain that visibility.

He made an impression on me during the debates. I think I will start to support Hunter in 08.

Great press conference, and no I didn’t see it. But this man is saying what 80% of us, at least, want to hear. Even Democrats! Unfortunately it is going to be up to conservatives. Ann does, Laura does, and now Levin. We need to thank them, and see that they continue to, as well as pray Sean jumps on board.

Hunter is attending the San Diego Freedom Concert with Sean, but I have yet to hear him say it on the air, not once since he offered to be there. I don’t get that!

Rush keeps saying it’s too early. If anyone else knows of other talk show hosts, definitely write them. The old media knows Hunter will take it by a landslide, and are going to move heaven and earth to keep him from getting exposure.

I’l go with Hunter, Tancredo, or FRed...and any combo of the three in heartbeat...as far as the “big three” the media keep hyping I’m not so sure...especially McCain.

It’s a little frustrating (and weird) seeing a politician who doesn’t seem to know how to get himself noticed. It’s a great quality, but it won’t get him to the dance.

Not sure about McCain? The illegal immigration guru? The guy the MSM calls (lovingly) a maverick? What aren’t you sure of? LOL

Considering he’s 2nd to only Fred in popularity on FR and several other major conservative sites, he obviously has strong grassroots support.

"Now, you've got individual ranchers in this country who have built more fence than the entire government of the United States of America."

Here's something Chertoff needs to read rather than do radio interviews:

You could count on one hand the times Limbaugh has advanced the illegal immigration issue. If it weren’t for the firestorm the grassroots had set Rush would never mention it.

Now he’s pretending he’s been a player. “Wait! Wait for me! I’m your leader!”. It’s better than having him openly in opposition I suppose, but mostly he’s been useless.

And Hannity is an obvious stooge for Rudi, whose values were revealed when he claimed NYC to be a sanctuary city.

And if these conservative sites are electing the president, he’s all set. Unfortunately, it’s not gonna work that way. Howard Dean had a great “grass roots” following. It got him a job as DNC Chairman (or something), but that was it.

Honest, I’m not trying to be negative on Hunter. I like him alot. He just needs to DO something and I haven’t the slightest idea what.

Actually it is up to US to do some of the footwork...get involved, contibute, organize. ONE man can make a difference, but one cannot do it alone.

Since Hunter is a conservative with the knowledge and answers, don’t look for the left wing MSM to give him much time for his campaign.

Though he has been on news programs through out the years,
many conservatives don’t watch the Meet the Press type programs.

Also many conservatives don’t have cable because they don’t want to give money to the libs. which is cutting off your nose to spite your face.

If conservatives block themselves out as I read many here on FR do, they miss seeing conservatives.
