I loved this press conference. If he got even a portion of the coverage Fred and Rudy get for petting their cats, we’d be in business.

..as a Keyes supporter in '96 I think I can answer
Dr. Keyes was and is one of the finest political orators of our age. He is a throwback to an earlier era when the spoken word which communicated great ideas moved mountains and changed the course of history.
On the minus side, he has a political tin ear. His inflammatory rhetoric fails to persuade and more often repels. His plan for the nation always sounded lofty and abstract--like his speeches.
William Jennings Bryan was this type of man from an earlier time--a man of the powerful spoken word--but he simply could not muster the confidence of enough of America.
I don’t like Chertoff either. He might be a tidy bureaucrat, but he surely has no clue about the DANGERS we face, or how imperative it is that he have some sort of vision. Which he doesn’t seem to have ANY of....
