Unfortunately, many here aren't big enough to admit they were wrong on the Iraq war. They'll sell the country down the tubes before they admit their error. Because of this, they are unable to see Ron Paul for the honorable man he is (look we've even got one buffoon here who will slander Joe Sobran rather than rethink his position on the war). This single-issue thinking will lead us to one of two alternatives:
- A Bush clone - a liberal in conservative clothing, who by plastering a conservative label on leftist policies gives them cover and moves the center leftwards.
- Another 4 years of Clinton presidency.
Paul is the last chance to put the Republican Party back on track, but I doubt most of the folks here have the intestinal fortitude for that. They'll sit back, push another establishment clone, and treat this whole thing like it's a football game. It's win at all costs, regardless of what it does to their country.
