I really do have the utmost intellectual respect for people who want more strict border enforcement. It is a completely reasonable argument.
I nonetheless believe the reasonable concerned has morphed into a hate fest toward President Bush.
I hope reason prevails— not just for President Bush but for our nation.
Hate does not work.
On day-to-day disagreements, I would tend to agree with you.
But when someone beings to represent an existential threat to your country and everything that you believe in, it is no longer about "respecting a president."
It is no longer about loyalty.
It is no longer about niceness.
It is about destroying that which is seeking to destroy you.
Yet, “they” call us who support the President on many other issues haters of free thinkers.
Neither does cognitive dissonance.
