She might indeed have medical problems such as a brain tumor or dementia — these symptoms can look like symptoms of drug or alcohol abuse.

I would guess a combination of alcoholism and stupidity. Recent milestones:

• Assaulted a taxi driver while drunk and aggressive
• Hotel calls police after she fell after being seriously intoxicated and behaving badly.
• Being spotted very drunk at various places
• Her own family says she is a drunk and they want to put her in rehab

Then there's this humiliating film:

The woman doesn’t appear to understand what 911 is for.

Clammy shaky, weak, short of breath, unable to eat? Sounds like she knows exactly what 9/11 is for.

Did you think everyone seemed to be embarrassed for her? I did; yet nobody came to the rescue. I bet if someone had tried to collect her and retreat from the room she would have gone into a rage.

That video is hilarious. She’s just going to keep on doing this until somebody stands up during the hearing and says, “Senator I refuse to answer your questions as they make zero sense. I think you are highly intoxicated.”

She said she wasn’t in the hospital...her memory is so bad she can no longer remember going to the hospital much less being hospitalized.

I still say, though, that Ms. Ford should have a thorough physical and perhaps mental examination...if only to see just what her condition really is. If it is some sort of substance abuse problem and that’s it, then fine — rehab or whatever. But if her problems are organic, I would think she should get help before it’s too late. I don’t know the lady....but I just wouldn’t want her to end up as my uncle did.
