Let's all ask him why he is complaining about RATS when he and other Republicans are facilitating an immigration bill that will cost us 2.6 trillion (Heritage Foundation estimate).
In fact facilitating is a mild word for what they are doing. Ramming it down our throats is more like it.
Dear Senator Ensign,
You have another chance to prevent the Democrats from achieving total mastery of the Republican Party for a century to come.
You know that signing on to the immigration bill will permanently dismember your base of support and contributions toward your worthy goal of getting the Senate back will be gone forever.
I was amazed to see so many Republicans fail to show up in the NO column for cloture. I would think when 85% of the party wants you to vote no that self-preservation would kick in, but no, it did not.
If we have Socialism, it is because the Republicans chose it. They have one more chance to kill this bill. If your name is again a yes for cloture, then it is over for the country and the party. You might as well make Hillary the Queen.
I am concerned with the pure lack of logic on your part. We have the best and brightest Senators (Kyl) following Kennedy around on a leash.
I cannot give anymore to the party until I am sure they have not committed suicide. I have to wait until the next cloture vote to see what direction I will go. It is not the right of you to empower the trashing of our cities, schools, healthcare and pension systems as Mr. Bush suggests you do. Enforce the laws and these people will self-deport. Fix the anchor baby problem. Nobody believes that making more laws will close the border, President Bush has done nothing for 6 years with the laws already there. He wants open borders and apparently you do too.
