Chris’ cheapshot attempt to sabatoge Ann failed miserably! She didn’t flinch.
In the first place, it’s obvious Chris instigated the call, a real set-up. How else would Mrs. Edwards have been able to call in to a live TV show and get on the air?
I was disaappointed Ann ignored Chris’ nasty insult of the people there who were obviously Ann supporters. He said they were a “Deliverance” crowd. But maybe it was smart to ignore his nasty insults. A young woman in the crowd did just that when Chris said she a John Bircher. She ignored the jibe and said, “I’m from the Claire Booth Luce Policy Institute.
Chris is always a motor mouth, but Ann didn’t let him get the last word anytime he tried to trap her, or make her look meanspirited. And I bet this morning, Elizabeth Edwards is wishing she hadn’t taken the call from Hardball.
She sounded like a dry-drunk, seminar-caller...
I would have loved to see Ann respond, when Matthews asked “Why did you have to comment on Monica Lewinsky’s chubby legs?” by saying, “Are you saying there was no liberal commentary that made fun of Linda Tripp’s appearance?”
BTW...sure sounded like Breck Boy was hiding behind his wife's ( who has breast cancer) skirts...
