I think they'll give a little once the dust clears. It may be just to get everyone's attention, penalizing the top drivers in the sport, but for real race fans, it's nothing but a slap in the face.
Racing was built on making cars go faster, not having them all look alike. We already are getting that on the highway and as was said upthread, take a look at IROC.
I don’t know. NUT$CAR seems to have settled on a boiler plate car and penalties, no variations on either.
