The vast majority of the Iranian people are YOUNG...born after the mullahs took power.

Here’s to hoping they take out their own trash, and seek liberty no matter the cost.

"The vast majority of the Iranian people are YOUNG...born after the mullahs took power."

That would make them completely brainwashed and fervorishly nationalistic.

I think they will take out their own trash. I just hope they know that’s the way it’s going to be. I hate when our politicians make promises they don’t keep, and people drop like flies because they believed them.

I keep thinking we should air drop 10 million handguns with a hundred rounds of ammo with each handgun on Iran and let the younger generation take out the trash.

That’s a good point. Thing is, there’s no shortage of countries who have either A. A very rapidly aging population, whose demographics do not lend themselves to stability, or, the opposite. Have always been struck on how remarkably similar people are throughout the world - it’s governments that cause the problems. For all that, I have never understood how the US came to be seen in our media as some sort of pariah. If that is the apparent sentiment, then it is no more valid than when the US was looked upon as the Great White Father.

I saw in both Korea and Germany having been stationed there in the 90s how the more senior population “remembered” and could attest to what we (or anyone else for that matter) really did. Not that yours truly had any hand in all this, but as a general observation. The younger generation who had not directly experienced what happened had been led off on all sorts of tangents.
