IMO, wars should be non-political. And this one would have been if Dems had been in charge reeping possible benefits. I don’t consider it a conservative issue at all, even though it’s mostly conservatives that still take it seriously.

When someone can find a key conservative issue Rudy supports I’d love to know. And, no, recent PR statements don’t count. he’s got a pretty long track record. if there’s proof he is conservative about something, it should be in that record.

Right now I have no reason he’d support social conservatives on marriage, abortion, prayer, or stem cells. no reason to believe he’d support fiscal conservatives on tax cuts, cutting spending and reducing size of government. no reason he’d be with us against KELO, McCain/feingold or support drilling in ANWR let alone school choices and judges. certainly his record shows he’s against the 2A and enforcing our border. from where I stand even Hillary is better. because maybe the Republicans would oppose her in principle as she is a “D”. with Rudy they’d screw us worse then Bush and the Reps are now, and that would be hard to do.

I've said the same thing many times and the Roody Rooters don't get it. Foreign conflicts have always apolitical, politics stops at the border.

And Roody's talk about being mayor on 9/11 is no different from sKerry telling us he was in Vietnam.
