Did he really say that to the caller? There was a story he did couple of weeks ago about an Ethiopian at a college somewhere wh had bought an AK-47 and ammo. His roommates turned him in and in Hugh's comments on the story (talking about "Sudden Jihad Syndrome") he called the AK an "assault weapon".

As brilliant as he is on Constitutional Law (and he is brilliant) I can't believe he confused a semi-automatic rifle that can only fire a SINGLE round with each trigger pull with an assault rifle which fires MULTIPLE rounds with each trigger pull.

It's bad enough that we have to fight the Marxist Democrats about our Second Amendment freedom but we've also got to keep correcting the uninformed views of guys like Hugh Hewitt too.

No ripping from here. I heard the call and Barnett’s put down when I turned on the radio while waiting in the bank drive-thru. They’re locked into being Kyl’s butt boys. Hewitt’s show became wearisome quite a long time ago, as is Medved’s.

I have listen to talk shows that at time the fillin was painful but had nothing to do with the Host!

I’m actually listening to Hewitt’s program a little bit more because he is against this bill and so is Barnett. I’m a big Medved fan, but can’t listen to him much these days because I don’t believe he is correct on this immigration deal.

You are correct, sir. The only parts of Hewitt’s show I have ever liked is discussions with Yoni, and the Friday movie 45 minutes with emmitoftheunblinking eye. This new sub of his (dean Barnett?) has helped my find the music channels I have so long ago abandoned.

Just heard the program. You know, I think that the host was caught unawares of the issue and didn’t want to display his ignorance. It was easier for him to trivialize it, or rather mock the caller, than to ask for explanation. Dishonest and arrogant.
