Dearborn, just out of Detroit, has a very large and fairly well-established Iraqi population. I'd be more surprised if the incoming 'fugees settled elsewhere.

I never understood why Middle Easterners always choose Michigan out of all the states, I know why they do now because of the already present communities, I mean before that. You would think they would chose places with similar climates, like how Minnesota has people of Nordic descent, or if not atleast places with decent economic growth and jobs. Why not places like Arizona Nevada Los Angelas, Texas is hot and has oil haha.
