Flip it for me.

Hunter I’m about 75% in agreement with, Fred about 90%. Hunter is too protectionist for his own good. His heart is in the right place, but I think he’s a bit too strict on trade issues. On immigration, I agree with him and think he’s a bit better than Thompson.

However, on the flip side, Thompson is far better on tax and fiscal issues than Hunter. Also, Hunter is more willing to compromise Consititutional Federalism for a “conservative” cause, whereas Fred will vote against something percieved as conservative if he feels that it is contrary to Federalist ideas.

Hunter voted YAY for free trade with Australia. Hunter is just looking out for Americans.

DUNCAN HUNTER QUOTE: “Not only do we have a bad trade deal with China but they’re cheating on the one we do have. China is cheating on trade and they’re using our trade dollars to buy ships, planes and missiles. They’re becoming a super power and stepping into the shoes of the Soviet Union.”

Fred is a good guy, too, and I would strongly support him if he won the primaries, but Hunter would be a dream come true for America, as Hunter is highly astute on all of the issues.
