Yep, and most of us in Phoenix are inside in air conditioning. Many of the troops are in full combat gear outside. My son had problems with the heat in Baqubah last year, and he was raised in Phoenix.

Don’t be fooled by low temps of 80 degrees. If you are in the desert (countryside) temps drop off niceley after sunset but if you are in an urban area the concrete and pavement will hold the heat well above 100 til midnight.

LOL - it's about time you got another butt-kicking. ;-)

This is my fourth summer here. Yes, it's hot. Very hot. Hotter'n a whorehouse on Nickel Night.

But it's no hotter than it's been the previous three summers here.

Iraq gets brutally hot in the summer. That's just what it does.

Weather.com says highs between 112-116 and lows in the mid 80s.

Wow...lows in the mid 80s? I wonder where? I want to go there.

Last night's low here was a chilly 99.

Thank you for your report.

You are one of my heroes for being over there for 4 summers in a row.

Yes that is reasonably accurate. My son is there now. I check the weather in Baghdad and Ramadi every few days. I think it is hotter to the south and west, than in the central part of the country which as the rivers.

God Bless our Troops.

My butt is reaallly okay, thanks, no need for kicking.

Hot is relative. Is it hot, or is it humid AND hot? Ya sissy....LOL It is around 70 degrees here and maybe 20 percent (if that) humidity. I mean, if you wanted to know.

Why are you up??

Point taken. I've gone hiking in the afternoons and I get drained after only two hours. I can't begin to imagine what it's like to put up with that all day and in full gear.

Forget Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, etc. Our troops are the true superheroes of our time.
