I don’t claim to be an expert on Mexican law, having only been to Mexico a couple dozen times, but my understanding is that Mexico immediately jails illegals and deports them upon leaving confinement.

Headlines are like poll questions.
Judging by who he posted to, he may be registered somewhere else if you catch my drift.
The person who wishes that that man would just lie down in the street and die is without conscience.

We should do right by that man and tightly enforce the borders, forcing ALL Mexican citizens to hold their government accountable for such a failed economy. The fact that Mexico is a very natural resources rich country means that it is not living up to its potential. We should not be the place of escape for all of the productive or disenfranchised Mexicans, instead we should be motivating them to change their own country.
Anyone that is for amnesty and open borders are really being racist against the Mexicans that must remain in squalored conditions in Mexico.
The man who wishes to defend the criminal while attacking the law abiding, is dishonest in his agenda...
And one who invents positions for his opponent to defend, is lacking in conscience himself...

Fair enough concerning poster #87. I’ll make no effort to defend or explain his statement.
But it seems to me that you are confusing a disdain for the sin, with some sort of hate for the sinner?
I feel quite confident that few Americans would completely lack conscience or compassion for so many around the world who would indeed be better off here.
However, when you defend the sin, not just the sinner, and refer to those who wish to stop the sin from continuing as lacking conscience, you are in effect attacking the law abiding in defense of the law breaker.
People who call those opposed to “illegal” immigration “racists” or “bigots” are using the same type of ploy. They support law and order, national sovereignty and security, and oppose those who would break such laws with immunity. Nothing more...
This makes them a “racist”? Or means they lack a conscience for their fellow man? Quite the contrary...

Americans are very generous and compassionate, more so than any other people on earth.
They will be willing to forgive the sinner, once he has stopped committing the same sins over and over, demanding we just look the other way and respond to his needs...
We have needs too... Beginning with a right to law and order.
