ALMOST three quarters of people believe global warming is a 'natural occurrence' and not a result of carbon emissions, a survey claimed today. The online study which polled nearly 4000 votes found that a staggering 71 percent of people think that the rise in air temperature happens naturally.

And 65 percent think that scientists' catastrophic predictions if pollution isn't curbed are 'far fetched'.

Just for clarity this poll is on AOL.co.uk, on the ‘open to debate’ page using content from Pocket Issue, Global Warming (www.pocketissue.com). You can see the poll at http://lifestyle.aol.co.uk/go-green/global-warming-open-to-debate/article/20070514111009990010

It’s interesting how the story has twisted! Pocket Issue’s view is that we/govt should put resources into understanding the debate and the facts before / as well as putting resources into persuading the public to Go Green.
