I have no problem with Hindus...that is their business. I haven’t seen many Americans killed by enraged Hindus...I haven’t heard where they are demanding special treatment.

And I certainly haven’t heard they view all non-Hindus as subhuman.

I am okay with that...this whole thing is just politically correct hooey.

Personally, I want to see what the libs do when someone proposes adherents of Voodoo or Wiccans want to have their day opening the session. That ought to be entertaining.

And...btw...glad you are in America! People like you have SEEN real “multiculturalism”, so you know about what it really is.

I would not put that past the libs. If you can call a murderous death cult like ISLAM a religion then Wiccans are mild and totally wholesome in comparison. This is liberal white guilt wanting to apologize for their colonial past and bow down to the altar of “all religions and cultures are equal”. As someone who has lived outside the USA and has traveled extensively that is a total lie. The unique American culture is the best in the world and produces the best results for its residents. That is not by accident and all immigrants need to adapt to this proven successful culture, otherwise why come to the USA ?

In general you get to open with a prayer from X when a congressperson or senator sponsors X (usually a constituent) to open that day. When no one wants the honor, the Chaplain gives the prayer.

One person asked a Chaplain if he looked out and prayed for the Senators. He replied. "No, I look at the Senators and pray for the Country!"

Actually, I'm fine with the general principle that each member gets a shot at sponsoring someone. That way, the vast majority of prayers come from the perspective of the vast majority, but if you have a minority who has gotten elected (or is to be honored by an elected member), you get Jews, Hindus, whatever. Fair all around.
