Display hardware is nice, but internet download speed on cell networks is NOT THERE YET. Coverage is too spotty to actually rely upon it being there - at least for me. I tried living with my email off a Treo 650 for a week and it was just tooooo painful and far too slow.

Wired into a wi-fi is acceptable.

Something interesting about iPhone's launch is that AT&T/Cingular just completed revamping and retuning its entire cell broadband network specifically for the iPhone.

I think that iPhone will undoubtedly be the best-of-class for its 2.5G competition. Apple and AT&T are determined to make it work just like on the TV commercials.
