"Huge smell of BS here"Even if this is BS, there has been lots of evidence of Iranian involvement against us in Iraq, and we have done nothing to directly hit back(correct me if I'm wrong). Right now it seems that we are just playing referee in an ethnic conflict that is being escalated by Iran and Syria, while trying to finish a nation building project. We are hoping, and doing what we can to make them stay quiet long enough so we can declare victory and get the hell out of there. Unfortunately, our enemies in Iran and Syria aren't playing along, and we seem to be in some sort of denial about it all. The time has long passed for us to hit them back, and to hit hard. We should either play to win, or bring our guys home right now. I think the best solution would be to drop the pathetic rules of engagement, identify our enemies, and kill as many of them as we can.
It seems the "Bush Doctrine" was nothing more than a bunch of talk. Increasingly, the nations that support and harbor terrorists are finding this out.

The Sun article implies multiple sources. I have no idea if any of it is true. Ledeen's post on the Corner indicates he finds it credible, but he also implies that it could be the result of ritual chest-beating by one or more mullah factions in a domestic power dispute. Or something else, including sheer hubris.
One thing we cannot count on from the Bush administration is any degree of common sense or connection with reality - its actions on the immigration bill prove that.

You may be right but then again your trying to apply common sense and logic to illogical people who have a leader who is a real died in the wool nut job.
This Admininutjob is more wacko than say Howard Dean or a sober Teddy Kennedy.
He is on par with Yugo Chavez and sees himself as the savior of Islam.

I agree. Right now there is about a 0% chance of us invading Iraq or even making a military strike of any proportion there. If they invade Iraq, all bets are off. They may be mad in Iran, but they ain’t stupid.

So you think that unless they strike us. we are going to run away and botch this whole thing. they will have nukes ?
To: Thud
The Sun is a tabloid and they are using, supposedly, anonymous sources and Ledeen’s hunches have been wrong before.

They are a few years away from nukes. My guess is this administration has given up trying to stop them with anything other than to assist internal upheaval. I don’t see Hillary doing anything in 2009, do you?

What makes you think Hillary will even get over 200 electoral votes ?

“What makes you think Hillary will even get over 200 electoral votes ?”
Right now, unless something drastic happens, she is the winner of the election. Her negatives are almost meaningless because everyone knows about them now and are bored talking about them.

If that is the case. The United States of America is finished.

Do you have special insight to war plans with the Bush admin?
Or perhaps you forgot that every single pole out there says people want this war over with.
This country doesn’t have the will to face it’s enemies.. most want to run and hide and pull up the covers and hope it all goes away.
Knock Knock .. guess who... It’s reality. WAKE UP!

Naw, we will make it threw it all.
