Neither are the parishioners. Our visiting priest (we don’t have our own anymore) is a little leftist Polish guy. For the past year he’s been working social justice terminology into his talks - you know the words - “tolerance,” “diversity,” etc. We sit with a couple who are our former neighbors, nice people, and unfortunately, Democrats. Last week my husband stood up and muttered something to the couple about the priest’s leftist agenda. They looked at him in surprise and said, “Huh? What do you mean?”
They seriously do not “get it.” Unfortunately, not enough Catholics do.
That’s frightening.
It’s surprising to hear that about a polish priest.
Most of the polish catholics I’ve met are very orthodox - priests and laity.
