I don’t know if Karzai is playing politics, or what. But this is totally dumb. If he’s planning to play to the western media and harp on civilian casualties, he’s not only going to lose the war, he’s going to ENCOURAGE the Taliban to mingle with civilians and cause their deaths.
Terrorists may be dumb in some ways, but they’re smart enough to see that every kid killed, every wedding bombed, is used by the traitors in the western press to undermine the war effort. Once you go that route, if you blow up enough civilians, then the war is won. Especially if you can send a few of your own terrorists to hire on and take photos of dead kids for AP.
