The Rushdie fatwa established the ground rules: The side that means it gets away with it.

And...the victor gets to write the history book. To really lose a war means "THE END" of life as you knew it.

You wish. It will take at the very minimum an multi city nuclear attack in the United States, and even then I don’t think the United States or any other Western nation would do that much. We would certainly never declare war on Islam.
