What do mormons today think about the wacky stuff like
that, which it’s leaders have said?
Or Joseph Smith’s instructions about shaking hands with
angels to tell if they’re good or bad, or hundreds of
other things?

It is a wonder your head doesn’t explode. You have so much unprocessed trash floating around in there from sources designed to distort confuse and lie to you, that you are a walking talking garbage dump. If you can find anything at Mormon.org or LDS.org that comes close to the spew you are attempting to sell we might be able to have what is called a discussion, but you are as the Scribes and Pharisees, ears to hear and eyes to see, but deaf dumb and blind. Have a great day.
And let me say in closing that this goes for all the rest of the Saturday Mormon Bashing crowd, just so ampu doesn’t feel picked on. I would find it so refreshing to read something positive and uplifting on one of these threads, but that seems to be outside the realm of those whose minds are so full of clutter. I venture to say that not one thing against any Christian or non Christian religion has been said by any LDS on any of these threads, but that doesn’t seem to register either.

Generally, the “wacky stuff” that we are accused of is untrue or twisted to fit an agenda, so we naturally don’t think much of it.
As for the remaining “wacky stuff” that is accurate to what we believe, we own it. Ask me about it sometime; I’ll talk about it without shame.
