people crossing a US border illegally will not only be deported, but never allowed to enter the United States again. "STOP! Or I shall say STOP again!"
It would be funny if it weren't so frigging pathetic....

Well, this really is a great idea! Let’s make a law forbidding illegal immigration.

I voted for Bush 3 times.
That said, he has no credibility on any subject, let alone immigration.
If Bush said the sun was in the sky I would have to go look. He's another KKKlintoon.

There will have to be a significant effort made to deport the 12 million (20 million?) illegals already here before anyone will believe in and endorse any legislation from this President and Congress. Since that will never happen and they know it, the Federal Government Party is just going to have to force the bill through with no public support and thake their chances that they have the 2008 elections rigged well enough to deliver the results they want.

“Bush vows permanent ban on future illegal migrants Jun 23 01:49 PM US/Eastern President George W. Bush promised Saturday to permanently bar future illegal immigrants from the United States as he renewed his push for immigration reform”
That’s “permanent” or 18 months, whichever comes sooner.
No, Mr. President, you’re not a king.

Its sad but true; nobody believes President Bush anymore when he says such things. Everything about his past actions and rhetoric says that he supports pretty much open borders with Mexico. I mean, does anyone expect the guy who coined (or at least made popular) the new platitude ‘family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande’ to follow through on such a promise?
After 7 years, its just too late. All of his credibility on the issue vanished a long time ago.

When Bush says he is going to bar “illegal immigrants FROM the Unites States” I can only assume that he means that Americans will not be permitted to escape by immigrating to other countries.
So it appears that once he finishes turning the country into a third-world craphole, no one will be allowed to leave.

"Under this bill, those caught crossing illegally will be permanently barred from returning to the United States on a work or tourist visa," the president stated. The operative phrase here is "those caught crossing illegally", which means that once they get across without getting caught, they're home free just like the 20 Million already here.
Mr. President, you're playing word games with us and you shouldn't be playing a game you're not too good at..................

They said similar things about the 1986/87 amnesty...those provisions were not enforced...why would these be any different. GWB is grasping at straws now.
