We already have the laws. They just need to be enforced.
I’ll buy into Boosh’s mouthwash as soon as I read it here in FR that Compean and Ramos are border guards, back on duty, here, in America!
as we say in Texas, a day late and a dollar short
That would be the logical conclusion from the news we get out of D.C. In fact, if he really thinks he's addressing stupid Americans, it's time he took an honest look at himeself in a mirror. That's where he'll see "stupid".
There's gotta be another reason for Bush's determination to see this bill passed. Whatever it is, I suspect some sinister motive.
I agree.
So, they come across illegally the first time and President Bush declares that they WON'T come across illegally again?
President Bush believes that those coming to MY country illegally are going to apply for a tourist visa the next time they want to come to the USA?
I do not trust President Bush on this issue. He is out of touch with the American people so badly that if it wasn't so serious, it would be funny.
Hahahah of course there will be a ban on future illegals.... Everyone will be made legal. Makes it a lot easier to ban a category when no one falls into it. Morons
That’s exactly the problem. If it passes, it will be interpreted as “amnesty”. Any previous/current/new illegal will simply be able to say “The check’s in the mail...” and an already overworked law enforcement will just let them slide.
Meanwhile, they will continue putting cameras at intersections to make sure granny comes to a complete stop. And, of course, strip searching regular type folks at airports.
It’s a fraudulent answer designed to pretend they take their responsibility seriously. It makes a total sham out of anything having to do with “homeland security”.
