“Monsters” works for me. I think back to when my son was six, I would have killed to keep him safe. Have these monsters no maternal or fraternal instincts? Most every species that I know of fight to protect their young, every one but these monsters.

These psychopathic killers get a bigger thrill out of killing their own children than they get out of killing strangers. Their religion worships the thrill of the kill.
