Frankly, politically speaking, the impeachment of Bill Clinton backfired on Republicans in some ways. If the Democrats really would go full force in an impeachment effort against Bush and Cheney, I can imagine some backfiring on Democrats if they pursue this.
When one is dealing with pure evil, everything done to stand up to them tends to back-fire, until when it really counts, at the end. I’m looking forward to that time.
