Which Fred is Running for President?

I probably know more about Fred Thompson than any other candidate, which is why I worked with my reader base to help draft Fred into the ‘08 Presidential race. But that doesn’t mean that an honest concerned American doesn’t need to ask the right questions before climbing fully onboard any political train today.

If Jesus Christ himself were running today, we’d have to ask the same questions in light of today’s deception and corruption filled arena of national politics, especially if Jesus is now a member of CFR. So, though I’m thrilled that Fred Thompson has answered the people’s call to run, I’m still waiting to see which Fred is going to run.

Look at my registration here as well as all of my comments-if I am a troll, then I am one that has been laying in wait to ambush Fred for about 7 years. I am sorry you find my question disgusting—so answer it. How many chemo treatments has Fred had for his lymphoma? One? Zero? Two? How many radiation treatments?

The health of a candidate for President of the United States is a legitimate question, and Fred does not look so good (without his Law and Order makeup). I know the Fred worshipers would not like to hear that, and it is disturbing for them to answer hard questions about him (CFR, National Tort Reform, Etc).

I did. Your home page and your links page raise suspicion and doubt. Seems you might be a long time troll.

"But I’ll admit Hunter WOULD make a good vice-prez for Fred : )" "That's one thing that I would not want to see."

Don't worry, if you're any example of his supporters, he won't find himself anywhere near the White House.

So far, your arguments against the factual information that I presented consist of obfuscations, false accusations and name-calling.

Really all I know about Fred is what votes he cast in the Senate, really no more of an actual record than Obama, more conservative, yes, but no more or less of a record. I know he writes some speeches and makes some publicly, but I need more than that and am not willing to commit that much to trust, we have been burned too many times. I am not seeing Fred is “making more sense” than the rest of them. We can possibly do a blockade (of Iran), if we can get international cooperation? That is more sense, and on such a critical matter?

Blockading Iran is a horrible idea and would only strengthen their resolve, tie up our assets endlessly, collapse a few economies and get us 5-7 dollar/gal. gasoline and I have yet heard anyone else point this out. That is his idea of a good policy? I think many of us need to open our eyes and see where we are going. Once we get there it isn’t going to matter that we don’t like where we are, because that is where we will be for 8 years.

The least dangerous form of lymphoma is still pretty damn dangerous. I fully support Fred’s ability to date younger women and get himself a really hot wife. I don’t dislike him, should he win the nomination he has my vote. But, I think tough questions should be asked, not run away from. Not just for Fred, but for all candidates who want to be President.

Uh, no, it’s reality. In 2003, in the Louisiana runoff, there were two candidates, Blanco and Jindal. Jindal’s parents immigrated to this country from India.

The turning factor in that election, alot of seemingly Republican parishes in protestant north Louisiana, parishes that voted for David Duke, suddenly decided they liked the catholic grandma from the cajun part of the state. Remember, these are parishes that Edwin Edwards actually lost in 1991, somehow Blanco carries them and by huge margins. Could it be.......that the fact that Jindal was of Indian descent played a factor.

Also note that Democratic officials in Louisiana often refer to Jindal by his Indian derived legal name rather than his nickname Bobby. It’s a truthful statement, race still matters in the South. 7 years ago, when this state voted to repeal the interracial marriage ban, 40% of the public voted to keep that ban in place, and in general, there was a rural/urban split. Urban and suburban areas voted to repeal, rural areas voted to keep. In the 1998 Republican runoff, when it was Fob vs Blount, several polls saw Fob losing that runoff, but what happened, Richard Arrington, the racist black Mayor of Birmingham, decided to endorse Blount. The James people immediately came up with some promo material calling Blount the “Arrington” candidate, seeded it in rural areas, got some statewide media play, and here’s a shocker, James ends up narrowly winning that runoff.

If nothing else proves race still matters down here, just look at the New Orleans runoff. In general, whites went for Landrieu and blacks for Nagin. Shocker isn’t it. It’s just a fact of life that alot of people in this country are racist, and it isn’t just the South. I don’t think Boston is far removed from 30 years ago when they were throwing rocks at school buses and firebombing various targets of interest.

Not to mention the fact that West Virginia continues to elect a man who was a Kleagle and who all signs point to being racist. In fact, people have campaigned against him highlighting his bigotry, and yet he seems to win in large margins in those elections. I live in a city that is half and half, and that’s likely to remain so for a long time, I understand what the tightrope and I know that even here, and we actually are seen as having a good record on the subject, we still have our problems.

In fact, going back to JC Watts, in his first election to Congress, he ran against a White Democrat, and as I remember it, his vote total ended up running under what he had been polling as. There are alot of kooks in the woodwork, and they come out to vote not normally, but when they feel they have to make a point, like when David Duke ran for governor, or when we were repealing our interracial marriage ban. If you think race is not imporant, then you clearly didn’t watch Super Tuesday 88.

In reply to the negative facts and links that I've posted, we've only seen rhetoric, name-calling and false accusations from Thompson supporters so far. It's very reminiscent of what we saw from some of the Giuliani fans.

You forgot this:

Fred Thompson: Currently 1st or 2nd in many polls without even officially being a candidate.

Duncan Hunter: Not even breaking 5%, despite already running for the last 6 months.

Hunter may have many great qualities, but has no chance of getting the nomination. You trying to trash a good conservative candidate (who can win) with half-truths and distortions will not change that fact.

“But that doesn’t mean that an honest concerned American doesn’t need to ask the right questions before climbing fully onboard any political train today.”

Aaaaaaaaaaaamen.

Question, question, question.
Reveal, Reveal, Reveal
Duck.

My take on Fred....

“I don’t hear him say how he would effectively secure the border. I want details. He won’t give them.

On the other hand, as far as amnesty for illegal aliens goes...like Bush, he says he’s against it, but in the same breath says more specifically...

“there’s no good solution”, and

“then we’ll talk about what to do about other (illegal aliens)”, and says

we have to “figure out some way to make some differentiation between the kind of people that we have here” (illegal aliens), and continues by saying

“certainly no amnesty or nothing blanket like that”

and his position on amnesty could not be more questionable when he says, ““You’re going to have to, in some way, work out a deal where they (illegal aliens) can have some aspirations of citizenship”.”

Smacks of amnesty to me.”

“What he says here is that since he believes there is no good solution, he won’t give all illegals ‘blanket’ amnesty, but we will have to settle for a solution that will differentiate between what ‘kind’ of illegal aliens are here and ‘those’ will be given aspirations of citizenship, a deal, which is amnesty.

Non specific about border security, amnesty for a non-specific number of non-specified group of illegal aliens....add NAFTA and CFR along with the endorsement by George P Bush and other Bush teamers, too many red flags and so I question question whether or not he is the OBL/NAU candidate.
Don’t think for one stinking moment that those &*$%#) don’t have one. They do.”

“And they would have us believe he’s running as a “Washington outsider” too. Sounds good anyway. But take a closer look as I’ve been finding and you’ll see...

TransTexas Corridorer and GWBer, Jerry Patterson, who claims he didn’t even know FT, but played a big role in his push to the front. He says FT is not just running “to be President”.

No?

“I’ve never craved the job of president, but I want to do some things that only a president can do.”

Really? And with who’s advice and assistance?...

GWBer and Federal Reserver, Larry Lindsey

GWBer and Federalist Society, David McIntosh

GWBer and OBLer, Ed Gillespie

Chamber of Commercer, John Khachigian “The star power clearly works with new audiences, if you haven’t seen it before’” It surely does.

I’m sure that’s just the tip of the iceberg, but with folks from Fed. Reserve, Federalist Society, TTC, and Chambers of Commerce...one might begin to wonder if Fred Thompson isn’t the OBL’s Candidate for 2008.”

Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice, shame on me.

Yes, I like Hunter. I do not consider myself a huge supporter, but he is the one candidate that I truly like. I don’t think he is electable though. I believe the Republican nomination will come down to either Thompson or Romney. I am not thrilled with either but will support either one should they get the nomination. Take off your tinfoil hat, just because someone asks very tough questions of St.Fred does not mean they are a troll.

I don’t think you guys are doing Hunter any favors with your attacks on a Fred thread.

Not our fault Hunter isn’t polling well. Get a grip.

I’m rethinking the Thompson/Hunter ticket. Heh.

"Run along and troll on Dr Paul or Mcmaniac threads..."

You shouldn't use such a slippery statement to equate Duncan Hunter with those candidates. There's no honest comparison.

Another Liberaltarian, Cathy Young, called me a "male chauvinist pig" long ago. I was rather proud of that. Do you really believe that you can get my goat?

Talk about projection! I don't see Thompson supporters going on every thread they can find about another candidate and posting DNC garbage like some Hunter supporters do. What you, and some like you, are doing is virtually a mirror of what the departed Rudy supporters were doing. You're only hurting the candidate you support, who obviously needs all the help he can get.

No, because it has all been debunked dozens of times before. I would direct you to the threads, but you do.'t really want to know, you just want to keep spreading the same garbage. So why waste my time?
