Looks like America is willing to cut and run no matter the consequences, no matter how many Americans get killed.

Maybe some of them just do not understand that they want to kill us and will kill us - here or over there if they could.

Of course, here, you will not have the military guarding your neighborhoods, you will have the media, the democrats refusing to let you protect yourselves in any way. You must talk to the killers as they plant the secret bombs.

I don’t like this war anymore than anyone - in fact I hate it. But this is the nature of a terrorist/guerrilla war and we don’t have good answers of how to win it to “PLEASE” the American public, the media, the democrats.

Everything that is hidden will come to light. It was promised and is happening. I trust in God and believe that everything that has been hidden will be brought to light. Trust in him and he will comfort you.

This is one of the most painful prayers to receive answers on. Most of the time we just do not want to receive the answer because it’s not what we thought it would be.

>He WAS my hero. The damage that will be done to this country by this BS amnesty will outweigh ALL the modest good he has done in his entire presidency.
I useta woulda fist-fought anyone who said something bad about him, but since he could obviously care less about me and the rest of you now.... $%^& him.<

Can I ask you a couple of questions? How old are you? Male or female? Do you think you will ever have another hero before he has accomplished something worthy of the title?

I asked the last question because, for the life of me I cannot figure out what Bush had ever done that made him worthy of the title in your view.

No I am not comparing God to Bush.

I do believe that everything that has been done will be brought to light. God promised that and it is happening.

My prayer is always whatever is hidden please bring it to light before something happens and we have to pay a bigger price for it. I believe that God is doing his part and people are keeping their eyes shut. This is the most hurtful prayer you can ask for because the answer to this prayer brings alot of pain to those that do not want to receive his answer.

I voted for Bush twice also, I now feel that although Bush may have been different that Kerry, the same type of outcome will have been achieved only in with a different twist. I pray with alot of belief that God will shed his grace on those that search for his answers without adding our own expectations to it.

Evaluate and determine who will be the winner on Amnesty? Democrats. Who is pushing it the hardest? Bush.

If an escapee were in your neighborhood and you were going to go out looking for him, would you lock up your house and secure your family before you went to battle. This did not happen to the United States, my question is why not. God has a way to bring things to light so that you will see them, not necessarily the way we want to see them.

I trust that he has a bigger plan, I will do my part,

Grow up.

Inform yourself against the propaganda of those leftists AND
rightists who have been sickened by Bush Derangement Syndrome.

God could be telling YOU that YOU’RE the one with the problem, but you wouldn’t “hear” him because, in the twisted universe you’ve gone to, everything or most things are “Bush’s fault” and you’ve been “BETRAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYED”.

Spare us.

You have no clue but you think you’re some kind of Bush victimized, in touch and in the know, chosen vessel.

I see someone who if you ever had the truth - and I don’t have any way of knowing that - wouldn’t recognize it now if it bit you, or if an angel from heaven were to reveal it to you personally, if it differed from your chosen mindset.

Go ahead and wallow in BDS (Bush Derangement Syndrome). I hope and pray you eventually heal from it. But as I said before, from the evidence before me I doubt it.

Perhaps these better than you conservatives can explain where they are going to find workers after they deport 12 million??

They never have an answer for that in their hatred for President Bush and Mexicans.

"I really think you have to include Woodrow Wilson in the list of worst presidents."

Yes, and Franklin Roosevelt, the Father of the IRS as we know it.

Lyndon Johnson was pretty bad too. Democrats specialize in sociopaths--and vice versa.

I hate to admit it, but compared to other Democrat Presidents--Harry Truman a noteworthy exception--John Kennedy was not as bad as I thought at the time. He certainly towered over his Democrat successors. (Of course, all the hype still turns my stomach, as it does the stomach of any normal, healthy, reasonably intelligent person.)

If you are in favor of letting the problem get worse, then just kill the damn bill and let things continue as they are.

What a load!

What you're saying is that we have to swallow this poison pill or we're in favor of things getting worse? B.S.!

What needs to be done is to kill this bill and any other "comprehensive" crap that comes after it.

First, Congress and the Bush Administration builds the 854 mile border fence that it passed into law last year!

Then, they can begin to enforce existing immigration laws.

And they can reform the current immigration laws so that the waiting in line isn't 10 years.

I have NO CONFIDENCE in the government to honor their words regarding this Amnesty bill. They promised the exact same things back in 1986, and did nothing!

So save your ridiculous statements for someone other than the members of FreeRepublic.

We're not the sheeple you seem to take us for.

How do you think President Regan would have handled the immigration issue?

History Lesson:

The 1986 amnesty signed by President Reagan allowed permanent residence for anyone present in the country within certain dates. That law wiped the slate clean for illegals but failed to provide any new mechanisms for individuals to enter and work legally, thus ensuring another buildup of the illegal population.

However, that does not mean that I didn't respect the man or appreciate his accomplishments on other issues. I personally have been shocked at the change in FR recently. It has gotten to the point where no one can disagree with anyone without being called names or accused of being a WH plant, which is childish. Every thread has been highjacked or spammed with immigration rhetoric, no matter what the topic. What DrDeb says is right, some on here are so intense over the immigration issue that they have lost sight of the big picture and sometimes their senses. That makes us no better than DU with their BDS.

And just what would have happened if Bush attacked Iran? He has no support now, just how would he have support in an attack on Iran?

Another pie-in-the-sky criticism of Bush. He is hated if he does, hated if he doesn’t. Seems Bush is the football everyone wants to kick around.

I feel very sure that each and every “supporter” on FR would challenge the decision saying it should have been done last year, it should not have been done, it shows how “out of touch” the stupid president is.

The man is crippled by the lack of support of his team in the Congress, the media, the liberal/democrat majority (won by the so-called conservatives that taught the GOP a lesson in the last election).

So, we have the lesson aftermath and therefore no attack on Iran when maybe needed because there is no support of this administration for another war.

As there is less and less support for this administration for this war.

You see - we are a nation of spoiled brats wanting immediate gratification in anything that crosses our minds. We fully expect the terrorists to allow us to go home, quit fighting and still maintain the safety of America and our grandchildren.

Somewhere parents failed to teach this generation anything about facing the hard facts of life - that we don’t always get what we wish, that we have to sacrifice sometimes, that
the whole world does not cater to our wishes and that we are sometimes expected to grow up and realize that you have to fight for freedom if you want to keep it.

Or the hit on the economy.

Look just at restaurants - they will not even pay salaries that allow waiters not to seek tips. What happens if they have to pay minimum wage for the kitchen help?

All costs will sky-rocket which is ok because eventually it would level out so that all Americans are paying the true cost of our lifestyle rather than using below minimum wage labor and throwing the true cost of life in America on to the church going public, our social services, hospitals, schools, the taxpayers.

For posterity, what will matter in the end is not how "The Sopranos" end, but how this war will end. How we, the mostly highly-educated boomers who live in the legacy of Woodstock, grow up and confront the reality for which previous generations were willing to fight. To fight for what's right, do what needs to be done, even if it's hard, especially if it's hard, in order to create peace not just in one country, one region but also to help bring it to the world.

The hippies from Woodstock don't want to grew up or to fact reality

Which is why they are keen of socialist government programs to pay their bills just like their mommy and daddy's use to do

—Has he dared to disagree with anyone to keep his principles, even you? Yes.

Has he really been your Judas? Has he really betrayed you?

Did he ever question your patriotism, or tell you you were a bad person? No, actually, he didn’t. Go read his remarks in context, instead of looking at one sentence blared at you by the very media you distrust. Be intellectually honest enough to admit that in this immigration controversy there are (sadly) some who are using fear to move their agenda, and there are some (only some, but they hurt us all) who reveal bigotry in their rants. You needn’t be offended if you can remember that there are those “somes” in every group; conservatives have no corner of perfection. You actually do have a choice as to how you receive what you hear, see and read, just as you have a choice as to how you receive a good, that is, with “open” or “closed” heart.

You know? One point - if we got the fence and someone climbed over, under, blew it up or whatever - just what do we do then.

We cannot apprehend, question them, send them back or anything or our border guard will be sent to prison.

I would love fences but unless we have an all out “stop all coming across” policy - it will be worthless and the tax dollars just put down the drain.

Looks like maybe the corporations need to just set up satellite businesses just over the border and provide the jobs there. They would be out of the U.S., the economy of the area would rise giving people a place for jobs there.
