I wouldn't be so sure about that. The Bible strongly exhorts us to 'not forsake the fellowship of believers'. It's not really optional like our culture has determined that it is.

If you miss due to illness or if you are out of town (although I do know some who find a church to attend when they are out of town) then that is no big deal. Just totally not going is another thing.
