Haven’t you heard? Your social security card or number cannot be used for identification. I don’t know if they still put this little bit of BS on the front of the cards, but mine has it.
No it’s not on the newer cards..I’ve had mine since 1961 and it doesn’t have it on it.
SS card is to verify eligibility, not for ID purposes.
